It really saddens me too see all the Pain and Suffering that is happening in this world! Even when you think that you may have it bad, Someone always has it worse! Being Diagnosed with Lupus at the Age of Seven made me see the world so differently- I see people with my Heart and not my Eyes! I pray for all that is good and bad and I do believe that there will always be light, no matter how Dark things may seem! Keep Your Faith everyone and Remember to Smile at the world, even though it may not Smile Back! I have Lupus and Fibromyalgia but I will never allow it to Have me:) I may not Look Sick but I am but I am here to tell you that YOU are never alone- Be Positive, Be Appreciative- Be YOU;)

Happy Mother's Day too all!! You know, I never thought it would be possible for me to become pregnant, because of Lupus! During my First Pregnancy, I miscarried, but a year later, I had Aariyah, and the twins, Rick and Raven, followed after! I am blessed to be a Mother and I appreciate my Life so much!! Things can be crazy sometimes, but the Joy my Children give me is priceless!! Have a Blessed Day everyone;)
Hello my Beautiful Butterflies! My name is Wilda and I have been Surviving with Lupus since the age of three, even though I was diagnosed at the age of Seven! My symptoms began with constant joint pain to my feet, legs, both knees and I would stay exhausted and I slept constantly. The Sun seemed like the only factor that was causing me to be in so much pain and fatigue! I cried and complained constantly until my cry was heard in June 1990, but that is another story! Lupus is an illness that affects your body’s immune system by attacking your own tissues and organs! Everyone is unique; Therefore, Lupus affects that individual differently! Keep in mind that the inflammation that is associated with Lupus can affect your joints, brain, heart, lungs, and skin! I am not a doctor and this definition, in my own words, does not diagnose anyone! I am here to show support and help others understand that Lupus may not be visible to the eye but it attacks in so many ways, in my case, Chronic Fatigue, Chest pains, Headaches, Migraines, Arthritis, and scars on both arms, back, breast, and a butterfly rash on the right side of my face! The scars I had to deal with affected my life because I was bullied, ridiculed, pointed at, laughed at, and just depressed from all of the emotions that came forth! The Depression made me consider committing suicide, several times, becoming Bulimic, and cutting myself because I felt like such a burden to my family, so I had to hurt myself! I know how crazy this sounds but it is true and I am telling you all too listen to that family member next to you and never shut them out! My mother became aware of my pain, and she made sure I got help, spoke to me, mentored me, and told me to start writing how I felt, and learn to shut all that negativity out! I thank god for her each and every day! I choose to embrace Lupus by publishing a book about my Life! The purpose of my book was to show my Beautiful Blessings that Mommy is very strong and no matter how Cruel the world may be, we have to find a way to Smile back! My goal is to set an impact, not an impression, on becoming More Aware and getting facts about Lupus, but also understanding that you are not alone and Lupus may be a part of our Life, but it does not make decisions for us! We will survive as much as we can and we will do it with a Smile! I only hope to encourage and inspire you all that are dealing with Lupus, or any other invisible illness that can be affecting one’ s life, or someone you may know!!Be Safe and Be Appreciative my Beautiful Butterflies;) God Bless you all;)
